NDINODA Jesu hit-maker Tatenda Mahachi says his new track, Usacheme, contains words of comfort for Zimbabweans who are going through hard times.
“Usacheme is a song meant to bring people close to God. It’s a very touching song as it gives hope to people, urging them not to cry but always have faith in the Lord,” said Mahachi.
He said most people in Zimbabwe were not sure how to make ends meet, but their only hope was in God.
“A lot of people have questions concerning the future and God is saying ‘Zimbabwe, don’t cry, be still and now that I’m Lord,” said Mahachi.
The SABC Crown Gospel award winner said he hopes the new song, through its video, will touch a lot of people.
“I’ve invested a lot in this video and hope it’ll touch many people’s hearts and give hope to the hopeless.”
The Usacheme music video was released on Monday and is available for viewing on video sharing site – YouTube. The video, in which a woman loses hope when things go wrong in her life and decides to commit suicide, was shot in Durban and Dubai. When the woman is about to take her own life, the Lord sends someone to stop and leads her to repentance.
The song is already receiving tremendous airplay from local radio stations.
Mahachi revealed plans to record another music video which will feature SA gospel artiste, Sifiso Ncwane.
“I’m planning to work with Sifiso for the remix of Ndinoda Jesu.”
