Gospel musician Minister Micheal Mahendere, has made a record after VIP and early bird tickets for his United Kingdom tour scheduled for November, have  sold out.

Social media went agog after he announced the tour, reaching more than 1000 views in a few seconds, with the ticket website almost crashing as fans jostled to get the VIP and general tickets.

Pencilled to take place in Bedford, UK, the event is being hosted by Grateful Event. In an interview, Mahendere said the response has come as a surprise to him, as he has only witnessed this  for international musicians and celebrities.

“I would say this is God because we are used to seeing Hollywood stars  and musicians like Beyonce, Coldplay, and Burna Boy, among others, record ticket-breaking sales,” he said.

“I started the Messiah tour months ago, and it has been amazing. I just hosted a successful one in Belgravia, and I saw the hand of God considering in the past years I have been hosting my July Worship Music festival in a small venue, doing it in a sports field was something else and I was sceptical.”

He applauded Grateful Events for their online ticket platform for providing a barometer for  the event.

“Gone are the days when fans used to buy tickets at the door. These days  it is more of digital platforms. You can even know how your event is going and this should be how events are conducted,” he said.

Mahendere said the Messiah tour scheduled for Mutare will be held on August 30 with the supporting line-up to be released next week.
