Mahetshe Secondary to host 2026 Independence Gala

MAHETSHE Secondary School sports arena in Maphisa has been identified as the host for the 2026 Independence Gala.

Artistes from Matabeleland South province and nearby Mat region are expected to benefit immensely for the hosting of such a national event in the area.

The platform will be a great opportunity for them to showcase their talents and expertise.

A senior Government official confirmed the venue citing that preparations are in full swing.

“The gala will be at Mahetshe Secondary School sports arena and we recently held a meeting to start the preparations. The lineup will include lots of artistes from the Matabeleland region,” said the official.
