Mahomva exits Info ministry for NetOne role

The Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services has confirmed the departure of its Director for International Communications Services, Mr Richard Mahomva, who is set to join the State-owned mobile network operator, NetOne.

The announcement was made by the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Mr Nick Mangwana, who revealed that the transition will take effect on January 1, 2026.

“Congratulations to our Director for International Communications Services, Cde Richard Mahomva on his exciting new career move. He will be joining NetOne effective January 1, 2026,” Mr Mangwana posted on his official X account.

“We wish him every success in his new role. All the best for this next chapter! #Congratulations #NewBeginnings.”

Mr Mahomva, as a senior civil servant, has been a key figure in managing the Government’s international image and communication strategy.
