Mainline FC coach Siza Mguni says his side remains focused on securing promotion back to Division One as they prepare for a crucial Division Two clash against Cowdray Park United FC this Saturday at Dingumuzi Stadium.
Mainline FC, who were relegated from Division One, have made a solid start to the campaign and currently sit third on the log standings with eight points from four matches after recording two wins and two draws.

Cowdray Park United FC are placed 13th with four points from three matches, having registered one win, one draw and one defeat.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Mguni acknowledged the challenge posed by Cowdray Park United but expressed confidence in his team’s preparedness.
“It’s not going to be an easy match. We are expecting Cowdray Park to come out guns blazing, but we are prepared for them. The idea is not only to search for a win but to control the match,” said Mguni.

The coach said while the race for promotion remains highly competitive, Mainline FC’s objective is to remain consistent throughout the season.
“To forecast and conclude would be premature and disrespectful to the 18 other teams vying for promotion, but what I’m certain about is that we will show up in each and every game up to the last whistle with that sole intention and nothing less,” he said.
Despite undergoing some adjustments within the executive and technical structures, the club has retained key leadership figures, with Mkhulunyelwa Nkomo continuing as director and Clistone Bhazaya remaining secretary-general.
Mguni also outlined the club’s busy fixture schedule, with another important match lined up next week.
“We are to face Cowdray Park here at home on the weekend, then midweek we travel to Bulawayo for a date with St Daniel’s,” he said.
Mainline FC will be hoping to maintain their unbeaten start as they intensify their push for a swift return to Division One football.
