Makamure looks forward to new challenge

HAVING officiated at national and regional level, Tafadzwa Makamure says she is looking forward to be on a bigger stage following her promotion to the FIH Technical Official – International Panel by the International Hockey Federation.

The promotion was announced by FIH recently.

“This appointment means everything to me.

“It represents years of dedication, sacrifice and love for hockey.

“Being trusted by the International Hockey Federation is both humbling and deeply motivating, and it affirms that the journey has truly been worth it,” said Makamure.

She is positively looking forward to the exposure on the international stage where she will also work with compatriots Sarah Bennett and Kays Kanyangarara.

“I am most looking forward to learning at a high level, working alongside experienced international officials such as Sarah Bennett and Kays Kanyangarara, who are the most experienced technical officials we have here in Zimbabwe and are a part of the leading panel.

“I am looking forward to giving back to the sport that has shaped me while continuing to grow both personally and professionally,” said Makamure.
