ANTICIPATION is building across the eastern border city as United Family International Church founders, Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa and Prophetess Ruth Makandiwa, prepare to host a high-impact spiritual gathering expected to draw thousands of faithfuls seeking renewal, healing, and direction.
The special service will be held tomorrow (Saturday) at 9am at the UFIC Mutare City branch, near Propshaft Centre.
The visit extends a broader season of regional fellowship following the church’s major annual men’s and women’s conferences recently held in Harare and Chinhoyi respectively.
According to an official statement issued by UFIC, the Mutare gathering builds on recent teachings centred on how believers can maintain continual fellowship with Jesus Christ, placing practical Christian living at the core of the event.
“That message gives the occasion a significance reaching beyond the service itself,” the statement reads, emphasising that the teachings focus on how individuals conduct themselves at home, treat others, navigate adversity, and nurture their personal relationship with God.
“The visit also invites reflection on the purpose of prophetic ministry and its place in caring for a congregation.
‘‘The redemptive understanding of that ministry centers on helping people turn towards Christ and allowing faith to reshape their lives,” reads the statement, adding that humility, discretion, and compassion are essential to that understanding of spiritual leadership.
The church highlighted that the visit demonstrates active pastoral care, with church leaders travelling directly to engage with local congregants.
The primary objective is to encourage believers while reinforcing a redemptive view of prophetic ministry focused on guiding individuals towards Christ and spiritual transformation.
“Humility, discretion, and compassion are essential to that understanding of spiritual leadership,” the church statement noted, adding that pastoral guidance carries significant responsibility in upholding personal dignity and helping believers draw closer to God.
Referencing the biblical narrative of Jesus visiting Zacchaeus in Luke 19, the statement emphasised that meaningful spiritual encounters lead to genuine repentance, restitution, and changed life directions.
The visit also serves as a catalyst for worshippers to reflect on how they will live out their faith within their families, workplaces, and broader communities.
Prophetess Makandiwa’s active participation brings a strong humanitarian focus to the gathering.
As the founder of Agape Family Care – the philanthropic arm of UFIC – her ministry encompasses educational support, food distribution, medical outreach, and assistance for vulnerable households.
The church noted that these community initiatives provide practical expression to Christian faith, ensuring that physical needs such as health, education, and family welfare are addressed alongside spiritual nourishment.
Organisers anticipate a powerful atmosphere characterised by fervent worship, earnest prayer, and practical biblical instruction designed to yield lasting transformation, reconciled relationships, and expanded community outreach.
As attention turns to the Riverside Road venue, the central message remains focused on daily spiritual commitment, offering the Mutare community a structured opportunity to pause, reflect, and strengthen their faith.
