DYNAMOS are dug-in, ready to contain and counter whatever is thrown to them by Orapa United in the second leg of CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary showdown at the Obedi Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown, Botswana tomorrow.
For 90 minutes in opposition territory, Dynamos will be the home team in the absence of a CAF-approved stadium to host international matches back home.
A place in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage is at stake and the Glamour Boys will need sufficient mental strength to clip it.
DeMbare have a 1-0 cushion from the first leg after edging their opponents at the same venue on Sunday afternoon.
And captain Frank Makarati says Dynamos should throw huge punches to be able to finish off the task tomorrow.
“Everything is going on well and everyone is ready. As Dynamos players we are mostly happy because we are carrying a 1-0 advantage going into the second leg,” Makarati said.
“It is a game that we know will be very difficult for us as Dynamos. It is a 90-minute period where we know will be very long. But look, we need to be ourselves and concentrate on what we can do.
“We are on the verge of history and we are ready to make it. It’s that simple, but always difficult if you look at the level we are talking about.
“Dynamos is a big team and we need big mentalities marching into this fixture.”
Makarati said the Glamour Boys have done further home-work on their opponents who they now know a bit about especially after seeing how they play last week.
“We were also able to see and examine how our opponents play. We now know their approach to the game and to play against an opponent which you know can help how you prepare as a team.
“We are hoping to win the match against Orapa United and qualify for the next phase,” he added.
Dynamos supporters showed up in numbers last week and aided their players in settling down as they were singing throughout the 90 minutes.
It is that same spirit Makarati is hoping to see from the fans tomorrow.
“I am calling upon Dynamos fans to come in their numbers like what they did in the first leg.
“These are the most valuable people in our Dynamos lives. Whenever they show up, everything goes well. We just need your support, not only Dynamos fans but all Zimbabweans as well,” said Makarati.
“As Dynamos, we will also do all we can on our side to make sure that we don’t disappoint. Orapa United is a good team and we should not make any mistake of underrating them because that will be futile for us.
“We know exactly what ought to be done on Sunday (tomorrow) and we need to employ the necessary means to get the result. Everyone is raring to go and I can say the spirit in the camp is unbelievable.”
