ALL is set for the second edition of the Makoni District Collarhedge Finance primary schools soccer tournament finals at Vengere in Rusape today.
The tournament was last year won by Chiendambuya.

There were 184 primary schools who started from district zones.

Collarhedge Finance managing director Innocent Sithole said they were looking forward to a competitive tournament.

“We are happy to be able to hold our second edition of the primary schools boys soccer tournament and I believe this year the event will be big and better as we have learnt from last year,” Sithole said.

“Our aim is to give back to the community at the same time promoting sport in schools.

“The event began with 184 primary schools and the finals are on tomorrow (today). The winning teams will walk away with a floating trophy, prize money, among other awards.”

“Eight teams — Chiendambuya, who will provide two teams, Rusape/Headlands, Tanda, Makoni East, Makoni South, Makoni West and Chikore — are taking part in the finals.”

Sithole said they will consider to include a girls tournament in future.
