A pastor who recently went viral on social media and was ridiculed for wearing high heels to church says he had to stop wearing men’s shoes to avoid body pain and other illnesses.
When photos of the Togolese pastor emerged on social media, many were left dumbfounded.
They could not understand why the man of God would choose to wear women’s shoes.
However, the pastor said God himself directed him to do so.
He said men’s shoes gave him body pains and many other illnesses, but ever since he heeded ‘God’s call’ to switch to high heels, he has been heeled.
“I wore men’s shoes . . . but I suffered from it. I have long suffered from illnesses such as body aches and other ailments that numerous medical consultations could not cure.
“In my prayers, God himself revealed himself to me and advised me to wear these shoes that you see . . . since then, I have been running it 24/7, my pain is gone,” the man of God is quoted as having said.
He went further to dispel rumours that aside from the high heels, he wears women’s clothes, too.
“I don’t wear women’s clothes like people have said on social media, but I wear all kinds of shoes, according to the calling I received.”

Gifted dog sells more
than £15 000 paintings
A talented nine-year-old dog has raked in £15 000 by selling incredible paintings.
Owner Lisa Kite (58) began teaching her nine-year-old dog, Ivy, how to paint when she was just aged two.
After noticing how quickly she picked it up, Lisa started trying her out with different types of paint, starting with watercolours before moving to acrylics.
Lisa, from North Carolina, United States, said: “It didn’t take long to teach her how to paint; she was painting within a week.
“Initially, I trained her to get a beer from the fridge to impress my adult children when they came to visit and from there, I taught her lots of different tricks.
“She will do the basic commands like sit, roll over and shake but she has learned how to sort the washing, take my jacket off, wipe her feet and put coins in the bank.
“We have a two-page spreadsheet of different tricks now.”
The Australian shepherd’s paintings have a range of names, from ‘Meringue’ to ‘Jungle Cat’, and prices vary, with her most expensive work of art selling for £360.
Lisa added: “I have given so many paintings away but we sell them all over the world; I am blown away by how many people want one of her paintings.”
Despite not being an artist herself, Lisa loves seeing the art her pup creates and sets Monday as their day of the week to paint, with Ivy having five paintings on the go at once.
Lisa donates the profits from Ivy’s artwork to local charities and food banks in their area.
She said: “This is fun for Ivy; she is trained using positive reinforcement and is putting good into the world. I am not an artist, but I love art and have learned a lot from Ivy.”

Wife accuses husband
of satanism
The Kabushi Local Court, Zambia, has heard how a man allegedly deserted his matrimonial home after his wife refused to be part of his plans to join satanism.
In the case, Chileshe (26) filed to divorce Chanda (26).
“So, one day while we were in bed around 10pm, he told me he wanted to join satanism because he wanted to get rich. I then advised him not to, but after some time he disappeared for two weeks,” said the wife.
She said when Chileshe returned home, he told her that he was tired of trying to look for employment and had resorted to satanism.
“He showed me pictures of where he went, depicting some bushmen on motorbikes in the bush,” she said.
She also said when her husband took off his shirt, she saw different traditional tattoos all over his body. However, Chanda denied ever joining satanism.
He said his wife had a habit of reporting him to the police each time they differed.
“She threatens to have me locked up each time we differ.
Your Honour, there is no police station here in Ndola which doesn’t know us. Last time we were chased from a police station because of our endless fights,” he said.
Kabushi Local Court magistrates John Kabwe and Paul Kayula dissolved the marriage.

Couple divorces over chicanery
A man of Chipata Township in Zambia has dumped his wife after he discovered she has been borrowing money from people without his knowledge.
Lupako said his wife, Musonda, also connived with the landlord to hike rent so that she could be getting the extra amount.
He said his wife connived with the landlord and pegged house rentals at K1 500 when the actual amount was K900. Lupako said he only discovered later that his wife was pocketing K600, which she later used to buy a plot without his knowledge.
“She bought a plot without my knowledge. All along I have been giving her K1 500 when the actual cost of rentals is K900,” he said.
Musonda, earlier in her testimony, told the court that her husband was irresponsible.
“He only sends money for rentals from Mansa where he works,” Musonda said.
Magistrate Mulenga granted the couple divorce, citing lack of love and responsibility. — Wires.
