Man (34) found in possession of TelOne cables, jailed 10 years

A MAN (34) was sentenced to 10 years in prison for illegal possession of TelOne cable weighing 1kg and worth US$150.

In a statement, the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ) said Masimba Taibva was arrested by a team of Police Officers and TelOne Security Officers who were carrying out patrols at 4:40 am at Cheryl Road, Avondale, Harare.

“They searched the accused person which led to the recovery of TelOne drop wire which was stashed in the sack leading to the accused person’s arrest,” reads the statement.
