Man blames evil spirits for abuse

A SAKUBVA man will spend the next six months in prison after he was convicted of quenching his sexual desires on a minor. Marshal Makwezva (30) cried bitterly as Mrs Sekai Chiundura delivered the sentence.

He asked for forgiveness saying evil spirits had forced him to fondle and kiss the minor.

The State represented by Mr Fletcher Karombe alleged that Makwezva kissed and fondled the minor’s breasts on December 2, 2015.

“At around 8pm on the day in question the accused person approached the minor who was washing some plates outside their house and asked if he could kiss her, a request which the minor turned down. He went on to fondle the juvenile’s breasts without her consent and also kissed her. He bolted from the scene after seeing the complainant’s mother coming out of the house,” said Mr Karombe.

Makwezva brewed a shocker when he told the court that he was going to do terrible things had the minor’s mother not showed up.

“It would have gotten worse if she had not come out, I was going to rape her,” he said.

“You have committed a serious offence and it is clear from what you have told us that your motive was not good. You deserve to be incarcerated, go to prison for six months,” said Mrs Chiundura.
