Man City plot shock move to sign Real Madrid star Rodrygo

MANCHESTER CITY are considering a move for Real Madrid winger Rodrygo, according to reports.

The Cityzens are set to lose some attacking talent before the transfer deadline next month.

Jack Grealish is on the verge of completing a loan move to Everton ahead of the English Premier League football opening weekend.

Meanwhile, James McAtee is closing in on a £20million move to Nottingham Forest following his successful Under-21 European Championship campaign as England captain.

With two players expected to depart, and Savinho potentially following, manager Pep Guardiola has been exploring potential targets for his attack.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Rodrygo is an option being considered.

Real Madrid will let the 24-year-old leave the Santiago Bernabeu in the coming weeks if he wants to.

However, they have set an asking price of around £86.6million.

City view him as a “dream” target and Guardiola is understood to be a big fan.

Arsenal have also expressed an interest in signing Rodrygo this summer as they look to strengthen the left side of their attack.

Tottenham and Liverpool are among the other clubs linked.

The Cityzens have already spent around £150m so far this window.

Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Rayan Cherki, and Marcus Bettinelli all joined before the Club World Cup kicked off in June.

James Trafford has re-signed for City since then, with highly-rated teenager Sverre Nypan also completing a move.

But the club could be at risk of losing 21-year-old winger Savinho.

Tottenham have enquired about signing the Brazilian for around £50m.

However, Man City are reluctant to sell and would only consider bids that are significantly higer than Spurs’ proposed fee. – The Sun/Sports Reporter
