A MAN has died after he was attacked by a Mushikashika driver in a row over ZiG20 change in Ruwa.

The incident happened last Friday.

Amos Karumba, 40, was allegedly attacked by Luckman Kamangile, a 27-year-old man, who was using a blue Honda Fit as Mushikashika.

The altercation began when Amos demanded his change after arriving at his destination.

Witnesses say that Luckman refused to give Amos his change and this led to a heated confrontation.

Luckman allegedly struck Amos multiple times during the scuffle.

After learning that her husband had been seriously injured, Amos’ wife rushed him to a clinic where he received initial treatment.

Unfortunately, he died the following day at home, prompting police to take action.

Harare’s deputy provincial police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Faith Mapisa, confirmed Luckman’s arrest.

“Police apprehended a Ruwa man in connection with a murder case involving one of his passengers,” she said.

“The altercation reportedly stemmed from a dispute over change.

“The deceased’s body was transported to Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals for a post-mortem examination.”
