Man fakes mental illness

This prompted Chitungwiza regional magistrate Ms Sandra Mupindu to order him to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
The doctor’s report indicated that the man was mentally stable but was abusing drugs.
Ms Mupindu sentenced the man to seven years in prison but conditionally set aside three years.
The court heard that early this month the little girl was playing with her friends at the man’s house when she was called inside the dining room.
The man undressed the girl and inserted his finger into her private parts.
The girl screamed, alerting her brother who rushed into the house and saw the man holding the girl with his finger inside her.
The boy took the girl to his mother where he narrated the incident. The matter was reported to the police, leading to the arrest of the man.
