Man found dead on railway track

A MAN was found dead on a railway track and it is suspected that he was hit by a passing train.

In a statement, the National Railway of Zimbabwe said the victim was found in Odzi on Wednesday when another passing train crew was informed of a body on the tracks.

Police collected the body of the deceased after they were informed of the incident.

“A man’s body was found lying on railway tracks in Odzi on Wednesday. It is suspected he was hit by a passing train. His body was discovered when another train crew passing through the area was advised of a dead person on the tracks and stopped. The police were advised and collected the body,” reads the statement.
