Man in court for rape

A 26-YEAR-OLD Beitbridge man has been remanded in court facing rape charges.

In a statement, the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe said the accused works as a caretaker at the victim’s (9) residence. He allegedly went to the complainant’s house and found her alone leading to him raping her in the month of April 2024.

“The matter came to light on the 29th of April 2024 leading to the accused person’s arrest. The accused person was remanded in custody to the 14th of May 2024,” reads the statement.
