Man in court for threatening to kill workmate

A 35-YEAR-OLD man from Bulawayo has appeared in court for allegedly threatening to kill his workmate claiming she knew the whereabouts of his missing wife.

Zenzo Nyathi from Woodville suburb appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Mr Franklin Mkhwananzi and pleaded not guilty to a threat to commit murder charge.

He was remanded out of custody to April 3 for commencement of trial.

Prosecuting, Mr Mufaro Mageza said Nyathi threatened to kill Ms Joice Mathema.

“On March 17 this year at around 7AM, Nyathi threatened to kill Ms Mathema alleging that she knew the whereabouts of his wife who ran away from him. He said “ngizakugamula ngehloka kuphele konke” meaning I will axe you and end it all,” said Mr Mageza. 

The court heard this was not the first time Nyathi had threatened the complainant with such words. – @gwizi_n
