Man kills lover’s kids, commits suicide

This did not go down well with Dube who went to Bisendi’s mother where the children Tatenda Makani (8) and John Nyakanyanza (4) lived.
Mashonaland West police spokesperson Inspector Clemence Mabgweazara confirmed the incident adding that investigations were still in progress.
“The two had a misunderstanding leading to their separation.
“Dube could not stomach the decision and several attempts were made to reconcile but to no avail leading to the tragedy,” he said.
Dube reportedly lured the children to his homestead where he gave them the freezits.
Police suspect that the drinks were laced with cyanide.
The two died soon after taking the drinks.
Dube later collapsed and efforts by a neighbour to assist him were in vain.
Police suspect that he could have died from the effects of cyanide poisoning.
The neighbour also discovered the two boys’ bodies.
A police report was made and police details that went to investigate recovered cyanide granules at the scene.
Insp Mabgweazara urged people in relationships to seek counseling before taking decisions that have dire consequences.
“People should not make decisions when they are angry because some of them have tragic consequences that cause suffering and trauma to relatives and society,” he said.
