Man kills wife, dumps body along railway lline

A MAN from Lupane allegedly killed his wife following a domestic dispute before dumping her body along a railway line.

Mthokozisi Dube has since gone into hiding and police are looking for him.

National police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said police in Nyamandlovu, Lupane district, are appealing for information.

The killing occurred at Plot 1, Mimosa Farm, Redbank on Wednesday last week.

Prisca Tshuma, aged 20, was killed with an unknown object after a domestic dispute.

Her body was found dumped beside a railway line near the couple’s homestead on Thursday last week.

In another case, police in Harare are investigating circumstances surrounding the killing of Philemon Garikayi (38) who was found dead in his room at Block 13 D 3, Nenyere Flats, Mbare on Wednesday last week.

The victim was found with a deep cut on the neck and lacerations on the wrist.

Police recovered a blood stained kitchen knife at the scene. Anyone with information should report to any nearest police station.

Last Wednesday, police in Chirumhanzu acted on received information and arrested Elfas Maregere (26) and William Makadho (32) at Musena Village, Kwekwe in connection with poaching of a bush buck and civet cat at Mzuli Ranch, Kwekwe.

The suspects were also arrested for illegal cultivation of 22 mbanje plants measuring between 1 metre and 1.5 metres.
