A 42-year-old man was on Monday arrested for stabbing his wife to death over infidelity allegations.
Tinashe Turamai was reported to have been suspecting his wife Marita Nyamunda of engaging in extra marital affairs.
The two had a misunderstanding and Tinashe stabbed Marita with a knife on the neck and stomach, leaving the intestines protruding.
Marita ran out of the house screaming for help and heading to one of their neighbour’s yard where she died before narrating her matter.
She was 21.
Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza confirmed the case.
“Police arrested a Rainham man in connection with murder.
“The suspect and the deceased had been married and previously lived in Mozambique before relocating to Rainham in Harare four months ago.
“It is alleged that the accused person used to physically abuse the deceased, but she never reported the abuse to the police.
“The kitchen knife was recovered at the scene, and the suspect is expected to appear in court soon,” said Insp Chakanza.

Zimbabwe Republic Police: The ZRP is appealing for information which may assist to identify a murder victim, a male adult aged approximately 25, who was found dead with stab wounds besides a durawall in a grassy area at corner Conald and Bell Street, Graniteside Industrial area, Harare on 05/07/25. The victim was wearing a khakhi jacket, black skin tight and white sneakers.
Meanwhile, in a case of murder an unidentified man aged approximately 30 was found dead with a wound on the eye along a dust road in Muguta, Epworth, Harare on 14/06/25.
He was wearing a grey track bottom inscribed PUMA, cream T-shirt, brown sandals, black socks, cream short and a grey/ black/ white jacket. Anyone with information to report at any nearest Police Station.

Police in Chipinge arrested Wilton Dube (35) in connection with a case of murder which occurred on 07/08/2025 at a night club at Checheche Growth Point, Chisumbanje.
The suspect assaulted the victim with fists all over the body before stabbing her with a piece of glass on the stomach after an argument over beer.
The victim succumbed to the injuries while admitted at a local hospital.

Zimbabwe Republic Police: Police in Mutare are appealing for information which may assist in the investigation of a fatal hit and run road traffic accident which occurred at the 214-kilometre peg along Harare-Mutare Road on 10/08/25 at around 2030 hours.
A man (32) died on the spot after being hit by an unknown motorist who did not stop after the accident.
Anyone with information to report at any nearest Police Station.

Police in Kwekwe arrested Thembinkosi Ndlovu (22) and Nkosinomusa Moyo (24) in connection with a case of murder which occurred on 10/08/25 at a bar at Mutegude Shops, Redcliff where Rosemary Diana (40) died.
The suspects attacked the victim after she had rejected Nkosinomusa Moyo’s romantic advances.
Thembinkosi Ndlovu (22) struck the victim with a cooking stick all over the body while Nkosinomusa Moyo stabbed her with a knife on the back. #notomurder.
