A 30-year-old Waterfalls man is expected to appear in court today for duping a second-hand clothes dealer for almost US$12,000.

Trust Mafusire misrepresented himself as a supplier of bales of second-hand clothes to Bella Mapurisa, 38.

He was paid US$11,990 in cash to supply her with the clothes.

He failed to supply Bella as per their agreement.

Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the arrest.

“Police arrested a Waterfalls man for fraud,” said Insp Chakanza.

In another fraud case, Insp Chakanza said police were appealing for information that may lead to the arrest of Lovemore Mangoma.

Lovemore duped Fortunate Tibu, 39, US$52 promising to facilitate the processing of her birth certificate.
