Man rapes 2 juveniles one day

(23) pleaded not guilty to both counts of rape before Chitungwiza magistrate Mr Temba Kuwanda.
His trial begins tomorrow.

Prosecutor Mr Mugaviri Mugaviri alleged that on February 27 this year, Chikore raped his first victim in the early hours at Plot 32 Cholo Farm. Around 2:30pm on the same day and at the same farm, he pounced on the second child.
Mr Mugaviri said Chikore entered a house at the farm without knocking and found the 11-year-old girl alone.

He asked her where her mother had gone and was told that she had gone to fetch firewood.
Chikore sat on the sofa and invited the girl to sit next to him but she refused.
He stood up, grabbed her by the collar and threw her to the floor before raping her.
But Chikore denied the charges.

“For the first girl, it is her grandmother who is falsely implicating me because I owe her US$10 for the beer that she was selling that I consumed and to date have paid half the money,” he said.
“I deny that I sexually abused the second girl, since on that day I was away with my friends.”
