A 48-YEAR-OLD man from Mabvuku suburb in Harare, Mr Lovemore Duwariti, is seeking financial assistance to enable him to undergo medical treatment for a heart ailment.

Mr Duwariti is suffering from a dilated cardiomyopathy, a condition in which the left ventricle, the heart’s main pumping chamber, is enlarged.

He told The Herald yesterday that he needed US$14 000 for surgery in India or US$6 000 for treatment in the region.

“I need US$14 000 so that I can go to India for medication or surgery to implant a medical device that helps the heart beat or pump,” he said.

“If that is not available, there is a possibility for me to be helped in Zambia with the cost amounting to US$6 000 though in India, my specialist was certain of 100 percent recovery.”

Mr Duwariti said he is not employed and the family has no savings to finance the treatment.

“I don’t have any source of income and our family money sources have run dry,” he said.

Well-wishers can contact Mr Duwariti on 0772 776 617 or deposit money into First Capital Bank A/c No. 2112-1116693 ZWL
