AFTER having had enough of his ex-wife’s threats, a Mutare man approached the civil courts for a protection order against her. He described her as violent and abusive.
Farai Mabvuragudo appeared before Mrs Yeukai Chigodora for a protection order against Dambudziko Chimbwanda. Mabvuragudo told the court that Chimbwanda was disturbing his peace after he had parted ways with her.
“This woman is disturbing my peace with my new lover, Your Worship. She always visits my place of residence demanding money, yet she is no longer my wife.
“She told me after I divorced her that her brothers will assault me and I am living in fear. She has been phoning me threatening to kill me. We were married from October 2014 and what surprised me was that she gave birth to our first born in March 2015 and I wonder if that child is mine because a normal child cannot be born within a period of six months.
“She comes to my house during the wee hours with the baby and I want her barred from coming to my house,” said Mabvuragudo.
