IN a shocking act of revenge, a 38-year-old man frenziedly stabbed a person who had allegedly attacked him the previous year, at a business centre in Karoi, Mashonaland West.
In an official statement on X, it is said that a simmering grudge boiled over into bloody chaos on 7 March 2024, as Ishmael Sakala (38) unleashed a ferocious knife attack on Joseph after he demanded to know why he had assaulted him the previous year, which led to his arrest and appearance before the Karoi Magistrates’ court.
“He drew a knife from his pocket and stabbed the complainant once on the left eye, once on the back of the head and once on the stomach. The accused was refrained by locals who were at the business centre. The complainant sustained multiple injuries.”
Ishmael Sakala was sentenced to 3 years in prison but 6 months were suspended. He will serve 2 years 6 months behind bars.
