A HUSBAND who had gone for sometime without sleeping with his wife stole chocolates and soap in a bid to make her change her mind.
Sadly she never got to see the goods after he was arrested while trying to leave a Bulawayo supermarket with the loot.
Andrew Dzomba (26) stole two 100g chocolates and three Geisha soaps and hid them inside his pants.
With his loot safely tucked in his trousers, Dzomba kept his cool and proceeded straight to the exit door passing the till points without paying for the goods.
An alert security guard spotted him and he was searched and found in possession of the goods leading to his arrest.
He has since appeared in court andA� pleaded guilty to the charge of theft as defined in Section 113 of the Criminal Law Codification and Reform Act Chapter 9:23
Dzomba left the Bulawayo Magistrates Court housed at Tredgold Building in stitches as he told the magistrate Mr Tinashe Tashaya his reasons for stealing.
a�?I committed the offence out of frustration your worship. I wanted to give the chocolates to my wife so that she could give me conjugal rights. Of late she has been denying me sex saying I am useless because I cannot afford to buy her anything. I have not been paid at work for the past five months that is why I resorted to stealing. May this honourable court forgive me, I will not do it againa�?, pleaded Dzomba
Dzomba heaved a sigh of relief as he was warned and cautioned by the magistrate.
Prosecutor Taurai Hondoyemoto led the Statea��s case.
