The State alleges that on July 27 at Chimombe Squatter camp in Marlborough, Kamuramba had a dispute with Zondayi Chiwayo over money.
Kamuramba assaulted Chiwayo and the neighbour (whose name was not supplied) heard the fracas and came out of his house to stop the assault.
But Kamuramba was angered by his neighbour’s move and picked up a hoe that he used to strike him below the ear.
Kamuramba fled the scene, leaving the neighbour who had fallen.
