Police in Harare are hunting for a 53-year-old man who allegedly struck and killed his wife with a hoe at Flame Flora Compound in Mount Hampden last month.

Cases of domestic violence have been on the rise over the years forcing police and human organisations to roll out campaigns.

Provincial Press and Public Relations Officer Inspector Luckmore Julius Chakanza yesterday said Alexander Gezi is on the run after killing his wife over alleged infidelity.

“We therefore, appeal to members of the public for public support in locating the 53-year-old, the accused is brown in complexion and about 1.7m tall.

“His last known address is Flame Flora Compound. Anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact Marlborough police station on 0242301802/301853, Harare Provincial Operations 0242748836 or any nearest police station,” said Inspector Chakanza.
