A 36-year-old man, who impregnated a Form 4 student before taking her as his wife and later dumping her, has been arrested.
Kudzai Masakadze confirmed to H-Metro that he impregnated the student before he negotiated with her parents and paid part of her Ordinary Level Examination fees.
He later dumped her after the student’s parents confronted him over physically abusing their daughter.
Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the arrest.
“Police arrested a Mbare man for rape.
“His victim, a Form 4 student, is pregnant,” said Insp Chakanza.
The student is expecting twins.
