Man wins protection order against wife

A Harare man said he needs protection from his wife after enduring physical and verbal abuse in his marriage.

Edmore Kivhu revealed this in the Harare Civil Court where he sought a protection order against his wife, Mabel Mandaza.

“She also comes to my workplace and damages my property.”

In response, Mabel did not oppose the application.

“I went to his workplace for money and I caught him having sexual intercourse with another woman. This was not the first time, so I did that out of anger. He is the one who insults me and at one point he even threatened to pour petrol on me and the children and burn us.”

Magistrate Tamara Chibindi granted the protection order to Edmore and warned Mabel against insulting and assaulting him.
