The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has dismissed former Assistant Inspector Simbarashe Mandizvidza following allegations of improper and unbecoming conduct earlier this year.

Mandizvidza reportedly made treasonous statements on August 13 and 14 this year.

In a statement, the ZRP said Mandizvidza is no longer a member of the police service.

His discharge was confirmed on December 3 2025, after “duly constituted and appropriate administrative procedures were effected.”

The ZRP said the Commissioner-General of Police maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards criminal acts and disorderly behaviour by police officers.

The statement noted that the Commissioner-General “does not condone criminal acts and unruly conduct by police officers” and will continue to institute disciplinary measures in line with the Police Act.
