JUST like most of their Premier Soccer League rivals, Dynamos have set their sights on older and experienced players and are reportedly closing in on signing ex-CAPS United hitman William Manondo.
DeMbare believe that Manondo could bolster their attacking options for the coming season. The veteran forward spent the latter half of the past campaign on loan at now-relegated Yadah, following an earlier stint at Simba Bhora. Manondo, is a household name in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League, renowned for his consistent scoring record over a career spanning more than a decade.
His longest and most notable tenure was an eight-year spell with Harare City from 2013 to 2021. A striker with a reliable goal instinct, he also earned two caps for the Warriors in 2016, scoring on his international debut against Uganda.
“Dynamos are looking to add experience and a clinical edge upfront, with Manondo expected to provide an immediate boost to their title ambitions,” said a close source to the club.
“The club is actively working to finalise its squad, identifying the veteran hitman as a key acquisition. He is expected to join the club today,” said the source. “There have been some considerations on is Simba Bhora status but all parties included are willing for the move to be completed’’.
Negotiations are understood to be at an advanced stage as Dynamos aim to secure the deal ahead of the new season. The pair of Trevor Mavunga and Barnabas Mtuche is also expected to join DeMbare on loan.
“The club is seeking to bolster their midfield options with experience by also adding the duo of Mtuche and Mavunga.”
However, the club is set to part ways with Temptation Chiwunga after alleged improper conduct while Valentine Kadonzvo and Keith Madera have not been offered new deals.
