POLICE have found a decomposing body of an unidentified man in an old car in the Bulawayo City Centre. The man is believed to be aged between 30 and 40 years and he was discovered on Saturday.

Bulawayo Metropolitan Province police spokesperson Inspector Precious Simango confirmed police attended the scene along Connaught Avenue between Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo Street and Fort Street.

“He was half naked wearing a khaki pair of trousers. He is dark in complexion. His body was taken to United Bulawayo Hospitals. We are appealing to those with missing relatives to go to the hospital and identify his body,” she said.

Insp Simango also appealed to members of the public to always carry their identity particulars so that in cases of mishaps, police can easily alert their families.

This follows another appeal by the police for people to come forward and identify a man who is battling for life at UBH’s intensive care unit. The man who is suspected to be thief was hit by a car while trying to evade members of the public who were baying for his blood. He has been on the hospital’s life support system since July this year.
