The Minister of State for Mashonaland East Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Dr Apollonia Munzverengwi has commended Manyame Rural District Council for channelling devolution funds towards developing the district, thereby improving people’s living standards.
Minister Munzverengwi made the remarks while commissioning classroom blocks at Manyoshwa and Dangarendove Primary Schools in Wards 16 and 20 of Seke District.

The local authority used devolution funds to build two classroom blocks at the two schools.

Before the funds were availed, there was a critical shortage of classrooms at the schools.

Minister Munzverengwi commended the local authority for the development.

“Today we are here to officially commission these classroom blocks built using devolution funds as well as funds from council coffers,” she said.

“Council should be commended for using these funds at these schools. This is what the President expects, to see development that leaves no one and no place behind.”
