FORMER Warriors coach and captain Norman Mapeza will take charge of his final match for FC Platinum this afternoon when they clash with Dynamos in a crucial Castle Lager Premiership encounter.

Dynamos need at least a point to guarantee their league survival, adding extra weight to an already emotionally charged fixture.
Mapeza rejoined FC Platinum in 2020 after an earlier five-year stint that ended in 2019. He went on to guide the club for another solid five years, but today marks the end of that journey as the season wraps up.

Widely regarded as one of Zimbabwe’s most decorated coaches, Mapeza steered FC Platinum to three Castle Lager Premiership titles in 2017, 2018 and 2022. He boasts four league titles overall, including the memorable 2008 championship he clinched with Monomotapa.

His next destination is already a hot topic, with the veteran tactician being linked to newly promoted Hardrock FC and giants CAPS United.
