Marilyn Monroe has been announced as the new face of Max Factor. The popular cosmetics company has revealed that the actress, who died in 1962, will be their ‘global glamour ambassador’.

This will include the blonde bombshell’s image being used as part of their 2015 advertising campaigns.

The adverts will focus on the role that make-up had in transforming Norma Jean Mortenson into the Hollywood legend that she is remembered as today.

According to the brand, it was their then-president Max Factor Jr who was responsible for the sex symbol’s trademark look in the 1940s.

“Marilyn made the sultry red lip, creamy skin and dramatically-lined eyes the most famous beauty look of the 1940s and it’s a look that continues to dominate the beauty and fashion industry,” explained Pat McGrath, Max Factor’s global creative design director.

“It is the ultimate look that defines glamour nothing else compares.”

Essentially this means that despite her untimely passing, Marilyn has still managed to nab one of the most sought-after contracts in the industry.

It just goes to prove the Some Like It hot star still has a massive influence as she continues to rake in the dosh from beyond the grave.
