Marondera family dispute raises concerns over domestic strain

Online Reporter

A MARONDERA family is at the centre of a domestic dispute that has left relations strained, with a local man alleging betrayal in his marriage.

Edward Muchena said his relationship with his wife, Anymore Musimbe, has deteriorated following an incident that has since drawn the attention of members of the public.

In an interview, Muchena expressed deep emotional distress, saying he feels let down by both his wife and her family.

“I feel betrayed and hurt by what has happened. I trusted not only my wife but also her family, and I now feel misled,” he said.

Muchena said the situation is particularly painful given that the couple has two children together.

“As a father, this is very difficult. We have built a family together, and to be in this position is heartbreaking,” he said.

He added that the developments have left him feeling bitter and uncertain about the future of the marriage.

“I am a bitter man right now. I feel thoroughly betrayed, and it is not easy to process everything that has happened,” he said.

Efforts to obtain a comment from Musimbe and her family were unsuccessful at the time of publication.

Community members who witnessed the incident declined to comment in detail, citing the sensitive nature of the matter.

Family and legal experts say such disputes are best handled through counselling and, where necessary, legal channels to ensure the welfare of children and all parties involved.
