Minister of State for Mashonaland East Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Advocate Itayi Ndudzo is this morning set to tour two key projects in Marondera.
Advocate Ndudzo will first tour the civil servants’ flats construction site in Dombotombo.
The flats are being constructed by the Government to ease civil servants’ accommodation challenges.

Later, he will tour the town’s water treatment plant in Marondera’s industrial site.
Our Mashonaland East Bureau, Victor Maphosa, will be part of the tour and will provide live coverage.
Minister tours flats

Minister Itayi Ndudzo has arrived at the Dombotombo civil servants flats construction site in Marondera.
He is accompanied by:

Minister Ndudzo is now being taken around by Deputy Director in the Ministry of National Housing and Social Amenities, Engineer Wonderful Mashava.
There are four blocks of flats, which are now 96 percent complete.
The three-storey flats will house 65 families.
Minister Ndudzo tours water treatment plant

Advocate Ndudzo has now finished his tour of the flats and his delegation has now arrived at the Marondera Municipality Water Works in the town’s industrial area.
Marondera is currently facing water challenges as the local authority is failing to meet the daily demand of the precious liquid.
The town draws water from Rufaro Dam.
Advocate Ndudzo is being led on the tour of the water treatment plant by Marondera Municipality’s Engineer Mashonganyika.

Ensure uninterrupted supply of water, council urged

Advocate Ndudzo has finished his tour of the Marondera Water Treatment Plant.
He implored the local authority to put in place measures that ensures an uninterrupted supply of water to residents.
The Minister also urged the local authority to work closely with stakeholders for the development of the town.
He was also shown utility vehicles that were recently acquired by the council. These include refuse trucks and fire tenders.
