SEASONED body-builder Nunurai Masosonere is expected to defend his Marume Classic title on October 1 at Zimbabwe College of Music.

The veteran hulk will be the star attraction at the event that will be marking its fourth anniversary.

The current Marume Classic senior men body-building champion will face competition from current Ironman Champion and 2018 Marume Classic winner, Gideon Teguru, and 2012 All Africa Championships Junior men body-building champion, Noah Dzvokora.

Fast rising Joseph Luquembo and the evergreen Genius Gwara are also expected to step on the stage in what will definitely be an epic battle.

“We have organised a bigger and better event ” said four-time national champion, Givemore Marume, who is the proprietor of this show.

“Strength wars and fitness challenges will be awesome,” added the soft-spoken legendary body-builder.

Veteran administrator, Keith Chirimanzi, who is also part of the organising team, is emphasising on standards. “We need to ensure that athletes are respected throughout the event because they are the main attraction,” said the veteran administrator.

Judging will be done using IFBB standards and athletes are rest assured that each and every judge who is going to do duty is a trained judge.

“Our focus is to ensure that the athlete is respected,” said the event main consultant, Quiet Shangai, who is also the NFZBBF secretary-general.

“Our main focus is to respect the athlete. It’s NFZBBF board resolution and that will primarily inform our system design going forward,” said Shangai.
