“This time it is bone of my bones… this shall be called Woman” (Genesis 2:23) means “the woman (Subconscious) who is the core of my bones (Conscious).”
“Adam” and “Eve” are not historical persons; they are figurative and mythical and representative of the archetypal Masculine Principle (Mind, Conscious) and Feminine Principle (Heart, Subconscious).
This shows that the non-historical Adam and Eve symbolise one’s Conscious (Active, Masculine) and Subconscious (Subliminal, Feminine). “This time it is bone of my bones… this shall be called Woman” (Genesis 2:23) means “the woman (Subconscious) who is the core of my bones (Conscious).”
The Subconscious is the powerhouse of thoughts and unaggressive power.
When the two human natural polarities, Will (Mind) and Wisdom (Heart) are merged, the Masculine and Feminine principles are in a relationship.
Combined biologically and psychologically, the Law of Creation (including creativity and innovation) is observed under which beauty is experienced.
When the Conscious (Mind/Adam) and Sub-conscious (Heart/Eve) are integrated, humanity is in an internal blissful state, whose figurative is the Genesis’ Garden “in Eden in the East”.
We are the half of opposites so that we become a whole when in union with each other in marriage and friendship.
This means at biological level, each human is physically half of the opposite other person.
Duality in nature is a cryptic formula and a central truth of life is that opposites mirror, eternally compliment and affect each other through a relationship.
“Desire is the need of every unit to extend its experience by combining with its opposite, psychologically and physically.” (“Eight Lectures on Yoga”)
For the ancient mystics, the goal of individual existence is three types of unions, metaphysically within oneself through self-knowledge, psychologically between masculine and feminine energies, and biologically between men and women.
The Subconscious (figuratively Eve) is the kingdom “within” oneself, that is, a kingdom of bliss, peace and tranquility, the real or true self.
When humanity pays attention to its own selfishness, it makes ego or illusion of separation (“maya” in Sanskrit) to rule over itself and this breaks the connection with its own divinity.
The “Fall” of Adam and Eve symbolically happened and is still figuratively happening because “Will” did not consider, comprehend and discern what the Wisdom desired.
When Wisdom is weaker than the Will, the person is gullible, naïve, easily deceived, or easily persuaded to believe something and then blames another for his/her own weaknesses or failure.
As mythical figures, Adam and Eve, respectively symbolise the two aspects of mental and sexual energies related to the positive and negative polarities.
And the union of those two polarities, through a man and a woman, produces a child.
Nobody is born by theories. All of us are created by the parental sexual act.
A moral sexual relationship has four attributes: (1) discerning, voluntary and consent, (2) sincerity towards each other, (3) nobody is harmed, injured or negatively affected, and (4) there is an acceptance of the consequences of the choices, decisions and actions by the parties involved.
This is the background to the meaningful, healthy and rewarding relationships for empowered humanity and between men and women.
Sexual energy or power is a “divine” force! Sexual energy “is the source of life, the principle of the universe and the grand law of harmony”.
It is a creative energy. It is the very beginning, source and sustainer of all life. Sexual energy without affection and responsibility is beastly, crude and destructive to the dignity of humanity and its sublime intentions.
The feminine urge raises the masculine creative power into higher reality of the “Kingdom of the Divine within”.
It should be applied through a nurtured and mature relationship. As a divine force, it is a channel that connects us with the highest good and thus should be experienced responsibly.
We should enjoy giving and receiving pleasure compassionately, generously and with sincerity.
“A man and a woman are opposite polarities that attract like magnets.
Man needs the female energy and woman needs the male energy to balance each other. A man has a limited amount of sexual energy and a woman has an unlimited amount of sexual energy.
In a relationship, we function like a magnet with a positive and negative side.
“Our right side is negative and our left side is positive. The middle of these two is neutral. The neutral is the most important because it is where we find a balance within ourselves.
Men and women function the same way, as two equal polarities.
In their true essence men are positive polarities and women are negative polarities.
“Our right side is negative (female) and left side positive (male) … (Exclusive women’s groups) advocate the separation of women and men in their social activities. It is in contradiction with the universal law of two opposites.
It has taken men many centuries to realise the pitfalls of this type of sexual division.
As women became involved in activities once dominated by men, they started making the same mistakes men had been making for so long.” (Jiri Dolejs, “A Light Being that is Human”)
