MARTIAL Artist Wilfred Mashaya will this weekend take part at the World Humanitarian Festival of Martial Arts in Budva, Montenegro.
The festival is set for Saturday and Sunday and is being held under the theme “Stop Suicide” to mark World Suicide Prevention Day.
It is expected to bring together martial artists, grand masters, and masters from all corners of the world.
As part of the programme, participants will attend a training seminar designed to exchange skills, techniques, and experiences.
“I am happy to be selected among the few in Africa. Being one of the few selected grand masters out of Africa it’s actually an honour after they just appreciate your talent, hardwork and achievements.
“I am expecting to do my best through my participation sharing my knowledge and also learning from others.
“I am hoping to make Zimbabwe proud through this participation where there will also be awareness on suicide caused by things like depression, drugs and substance abuse, life’s stressing challenges,” said Mashaya.
The festival is also part of Mashaya’s preparations for the ICO World Championship in Wales, which is scheduled for October 15 to 20.
