Mbira princess Hope Masike is set to headline a potentially explosive acoustic session to be held at the exquisite Private Lounge tomorrow.
The US-bound songbird shares the stage with Suluman Chimbetu, Progress Chipfumo, Kireni Zulu and surprise guest artiste. Man of the moment Jah Prayzah has also been invited as a guest artiste. But all eyes are likely to be on Masike who is familiar with acoustic sessions.
She has been promoting these sessions at such upmarket venues as Book Cafe, Zim Cafe and the Zimbabwe Germany Society.
Speaking about the show, the phenomenal vocalist promised to usher out all her artistic verve.
“I am ready for the event and I promise my best,” she said.
“I have been to the venue before as a fan watching other artistes and I am glad that I will be returning there as a performer. I just promise my best and I urge fans to show up in numbers.”
Added Masike: “Like any other artiste, I will have something special for my fans. “I just love my fans and i can’t wait to meet my new and old fans at this particular show.”
Private Lounge entertainment and logistics manager, Joe Mentro said preparations for the gig had gone according to script.
“Everything is well on course and I hope fans will certainly enjoy the show. As hosts, we have just done best and we promises both old and new fans a rare treat on the day in question. The show starts around 7pm,” he said.
