Masomere said they will be the underdogs in this game.
“We are going to be underdogs in our backyard as we face a team that managed to beat Highlanders who are on top of the log,” said Masomere.
“Their confidence is very high and the game will be a must watch.
“We lost our midweek match to lowly Black Mambas. We missed chances and to sum it all we did not play well on the day but we have rectified our mistakes.
“My chief striker Caleb (Masocha) will be back in the team and so will defender Pardon Marima.
“The match will be tough but at the end of the day we need to collect maximum points.”
The asbestos miners dropped two places down the ladder.
Chicken Inn occupies third spot on the table and already have happy memories of their last visit to this town where they won the NetOne Charity Shield.
Their star player, Kudakwashe Mahachi, is playing well this season and scored for the Gamecocks on Wednesday with a beautiful volley.
Defence pillar Felix Chidungwe is back from national duty, striker Tendai Ndoro has been drafted for national duty and Brian Juru and Tendai Mukambi can all cause havoc on their day.
Mandla Mpofu, the Chicken Inn mentor, has been joined on the bench by master tactician Mkhupali Masuku and their first assignment together was a successful one.
“Shabanie are our stubborn opponents since we joined the PSL and I am predicting a very tough game,” said Mpofu.
“We are happy that we collected maximum points but getting maximum points from Maglas is not very easy as you have to work very hard.”
It will however not be a stroll in the park as former Gunners players — Munyaradzi Kunyarimwe, Valentine Ndaba and Fungai Chirinda — have been heroes for the asbestos miners when the going gets tough, especially at home.
Tafadzwa Mombeshora is expected to direct operations from the midfield, supplying clean balls to the forceful Tarisai Rukanda.
The miners, who have been struggling financially, have to grind a win to please the local business people in the town.
They recently launched a trust fund to help the team.
A number of players are owed signing-on fees and allowances but very soon it looks like this will be a thing of the past if they continue to post positive results.
Masomere will want to prove that he is one of the best coaches in the country and he needs a polished performance from his boys to please the Chinda Boys fans who have been supportive of him.
