LUKE Masomere has said he was pushed out of How Mine by a third force, but he will bounce back into coaching in two weeks’ time. He left the Bulawayo side on Thursday. “I feel I was pushed because of a third force. I am bouncing back into football in two weeks’ time as there is a Premiership club which needs my services.

“I was, however, considering taking a three-week break from football. I resigned on Thursday and I want to thank How Mine for the support they gave me. I hope they will proceed to the next stage of the Chibuku Cup at the weekend and also finish on a better position on the log.

“I did my best for the team, but results were not coming. I have no hard feelings and I wish them well. This is football life and we will always meet.

“I resigned because I am a professional and I did not want soccer to be tarnished and I will not say much.”

Alpha Matumbura, the How Mine chairman, saluted Masomere for deciding to resign.

“It’s good that he resigned as a professional. We were going to face relegation if we had continued with him.

“We are now looking for a coach, but so far we have appointed Jerry Makota and Usheunesu Chaka who will be in charge on an interim basis.”

The two coaches guided How Mine into the elite league. When Masomere was appointed coach last year, he chose his back-room staff and was not comfortable to work with Chaka who was shown the exit door.
