MASTER KG might be known for his hit song Jerusalema but it was his recent track featuring Jah Prayzah titled Kusina Mai that thrilled local revellers during his performance at Palace Hotel Gardens in Bulawayo on Saturday.
The song, which was released last Friday, seems to have already stolen the hearts of many if the response it received at the well-attended show is anything to go by.
The multi-award-winning South African artiste put up a polished act at the venue that is proving to be the go-to for shows in the city.
He had music lovers eating out of the palm of his hand as he staged a show to remember for attendees who braved the cold. His set stretched for over an hour and left the crowds satisfied. He had done the same the previous day in Beitbridge where he performed at Pagomba Café.
Breaking into the music scene in 2018 with his hit song Skeleton Move, Master KG performed some of his famous tracks such as Uthando, Sofa Silahlane, Dali Nguwe, and Qinisela which had crowds singing along.
During his time on stage, the artiste who was in Bulawayo last year for the Independence celebrations gave an insight into his deep connection with Zimbabwe.
Before he took to the stage, locals had been entertained by Holy Ten, Mr Grey and Mzoe 7.
Fast-rising hip-hop musician, Holy Ten who is making waves with his hit, Ucharamba Uchipisa said sharing the stage with Master KG was a plus for him while Mr Grey said it was a great learning opportunity.
Speaking after the show, a satisfied show host, Tapiwa Gandiwa said he was impressed by the way things unfolded.

“It was an amazing show. The crowd and the stage presence that the artistes had — everything was wonderful to see. You could tell that everyone had fun and I believe it was the best way to begin a new month,” Gandiwa said.
He said more events were lined up.
“We’ll continue giving the people of Bulawayo great entertainment at our venue and this was just the beginning. We’re trying to attract more international acts and obviously local artistes as we celebrate and promote the local music here.”
