Masvingo Business Expo kicks off, set to boost entrepreneurship and innovation

THE highly anticipated third edition of the Masvingo Business Expo is set for today and tomorrow at Urban Lifestyle Hotel, bringing together various businesses, entrepreneurs and stakeholders to showcase and exchange ideas.

This year’s expo is running under the theme: “Accelerating entrepreneurship through innovation”.

The expo promises an exciting platform to showcase cutting-edge business ideas, products and services.

A total of 30 exhibitors have already registered their participation with more expected by tomorrow.

In his address during a press conference, Masvingo Provincial Secretary for Economic Affairs Mr Clever Chingwara said they were expecting a huge turnout from the public, investors and various business people.

He said this expo should enhance economic development of the nation.

“This business expo will benefit local businesses as both local and foreign investors including France and India, are expected to come through for the expo,” said Mr Chingwara.

“It’s beneficial to the business community as it attracts investors, creating employment leading to an accelerated national Gross Domestic Profit (GDP).

“We have local authorities that are going to showcase investment opportunities in their areas. It is a platform where people are going to learn and exchange their views on business.”

Last year’s attendance was about 250, and 500 attendees are expected at the 2024 edition.
