Masvingo City Council warns its debtors

The City of Masvingo is threatening to take action against ratepayers who owe it ZiG558 846 416,79.

In a notice, council spokesperson Ms Ashleigh Jinjika urged ratepayers to visit council offices or pay via online payment platforms to settle their bills.

“Those who want to make payment plans may visit office 27 to negotiate payment plans,” she said.

Ms Jinjika said failure to heed the notice will result in discontinuation of service, legal action, publication of debts through various media channels or blacklisting without further notice.
