Scores of delegates from various economic sectors have gathered in Beitbridge for the two-day Matabeleland South Investment Expo and Indaba.

The event is running under the theme “Unlocking the Future: Showcasing Resources and Boundless Opportunities.”

The event, which began today, aims to position the province as a premier investment destination.

Provincial director for infrastructure development and environmental management, Mr Daniel Njowa said the region has diverse investment opportunities in mining, livestock production, transport and logistics and agriculture.

“We invite all those interested, including the diaspora community, to explore opportunities in our province,” he said.

A key highlight of the event will be a tour of the new US$3,6 billion Palm River Special Economic Zone and Industrial Park, currently under construction in Beitbridge West.

Matabeleland South comprises three urban councils and three rural district councils, offering a mix of urban and agrarian investment landscapes.
