Matanuska sports event thrills Burma Valley

HUNDREDS of major banana producing company, Matanuska workers and stakeholders gathered at its Burma Valley estates for this year’s edition of its annual sports and family annual event.

The event was themed: “Roots in excellence, growing together”.

It kicked off last Friday, and brought together the company’s employees, stakeholders that include Government departments and agencies, for different sporting competitions.

Participants competed in pool, volleyball, netball, tug of war, 12km road race and football.

Secretary for Manicaland Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Abbiot Maronge, Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education Mutare District Schools Inspector, Tracy Mademutsa were among the Government officials who graced the occasion today.
